No change in the config either. I made a video in case it helps, you’ll see as soon as I press play the console goes blank but I’m still able to copy and paste its contents. I tried a few different example projects and had the same result with all.
File button example issue
Ok, I can recreate this issue if I load the file_button example. How odd. I’ll take a look a little later and see if I can spot what is causing the problem. It seems to work fine for my own examples.
[update] something really strange going on here, and I think it’s Linux only, the text is there but it’s just not rendering for some reason…
I’ve tested a bunch of the widget examples. I get the issue with all of these:
- button
- button_file
- checkbox
- combobox
- encoder
- gentable
I tried some others from the GEN and MIDI folders and didn’t have the problem.
Thanks for this. I’m going to try a different text editor component and see if the issue resolves itself…

I think this is sorted now. The default font wasn’t rendering properly. I’ve changed it now so that it uses the same embedded font as the editor, rather than relying on a system font. It seems to work fine again now for all examples. Can you build from the latest source and let me know?
