Installing on Ubuntu 16.04 (solved)

Ok finally got it to work! I had to select Bridge Type: “ALSA -> JACK (Plugin)” under Jack Bridges in Cadence. Only then did ‘jack’ show up in the Output dropdown as well.

Great. It scares me when things don’t work on Linux because it’s also seemed to me the most stable of all platforms to run Cabbage on!

I just have trouble wrapping my head around ALSA, Pulse, and Jack :slight_smile: I can never seem to get it configured so that everything works properly in my system. If I have Jack running, my browser stops playing audio. Need to figure out how to get the settings for all of it done just right.

I usually just let Cadence manage all of that stuff. It has a few bridges that should make it possible to use it as the default sound system.
