hello cabbage community!
since i’m completely new here a few words about myself:
i’m studying geodata acquisition and visualisation in berlin and just began my master thesis. it is about the (additional) use of sonification of geodata in maps/auditory displays, while my study especially focus on the scientific cartography and design part of it. so i’m experiencing some troubles in programming although it’s really interesting to explore the possibilities of csound/cabbage. and i think i’ll keep going on with this software after the thesis.
what i did so far:
first i wanted to find any possibility to sonify data and define the classical variables. this seems to work for me yet. i could create simple sequences of sounds by defining an instr and then initials in the CsScore section. but still this is a pretty manual approach.
what i would like to do:
‘import’ datasets, or make them control the defined variables/create the sounds anyhow.
it may be good to have a small interface at the end where the user could start/stop these sequences and additionally the sound is visualised (e.g. spectrometer).
(btw. i’m running the newest version of cabbage 64bit on win7. it’s crashing really often when i’m saving a faulty code.)
though these things may read pretty basic to most of you, any helping ideas are appreciated!
greetings
