I see the code is still there, but it was never really tested. You have to make sure your encoding is correct. I remember having some issues with it. You can’t load wav files this way though. Unless Csound supports this, which I don’t think it does.

I found this here, but dont know if is still relevant:

Base64 encoded sample files may be included with the tag <CsSampleB filename= filename > , where filename is the name of the file containing the sample. There is no matching end tag. New in Csound version 4.07. Using this tag is not recommended; use instead.
