Is there a way for cabbage to detect certain hardware things such as the rotary silders on my akai mpk mkIII. I thought it would be cool to remake the ui of my midi keyboard in cabbage and then map the silders to cool functions

Just select your MIDI interface and away you go. You’ll need to use Csound to read the MIDI messages, but after that you can do what you like with the data. Here’s a good resource for MIDI and Csound
