Formatting SVGs

Not too versed on graphics formats but are .svg files supposed to only be a black path? The reason I ask is because only the black svgs show up as a button image - if I change the black to white in photoshop and re-export as an .svg, it doesn’t show up.

If this is the case, is there a way to alter the color of the .svg within Cabbage? Or does it have to follow a particular export format? Any suggested tools for editing them?

I use Adobe XD to create vector graphics, convert them to paths there and export as .svg. It’s a free tool, and pretty great for making simple UI stuff

Inkscape is great. I also use Figma more and more these days. Just remember that any kind of fancy SVG effects won’t work in Cabbage as the JUCE SVG parser is pretty minimal.
