kbpm chnget "HOST_BPM"
What does this return? I’m having trouble getting it to perform as expected in Logic.
And is there a way to simulate a host bpm within Cabbage? Right now I just have it set hard to kbpm = 120
for testing

This should return the host BPM value. Check out the HostInfo.csd example. To be honest, I’ve never checked this in an AU, but I always thought it would work the exact same way?
I got the hostinfo VST to work but the AU returns nothing in any of the fields.
Good to know. I’ll take a look at this tomorrow and see if I can get to the bottom of it.
I can confirm the same thing here. It seems that timing info is picked up, but BPM and other things are not. I will take a look. Btw, it’s working fine when I load the plugin into Reaper, but that’s the only host it seems to work on with regards to AU.
Think I have this working now. Just building a new beta for you guys to test. Note that most hosts won’t send any transport info to any plugins unless there is a clip or region defined. I’ll let you know when I have a beta ready.
Sorry, I’ve been on vacation and am getting caught up. Is this the thread that spawned the 3/5 build?
Just so you know, there’s no CabbageLite in the OSX build. I don’t really need one yet, so no worries… but letting you know in case the automatic build process needs to be tweaked a little.
Thanks @t_grey, that beta was just a minimal test. I’ll upload newer ones today, along with an updated CabbageLite.
Sweet, thanks Rory!
It appears to work with an AU effect in logic but the AU instrument does not. Cabbage(64bit) v2.0.02 and up to date logic 10.4.1 and OS X 10.13.6 (17G65)
Crap. I will look into to it once I get back to my OSX machine, which won’t be until early Sept. I’m afraid…
