This instrument is based on a rectangular plate with different boundary conditions and variable aspect ratio. It is not a physical simulation but a calculation of the overtones with ‘reasonable’ amplitudes. The sounds are often harsh and may rather be used as spicy effects. Nevetheless, it is possible to create ‘palatable’ sounds for percussion, bass, pads and lead as the included short demo shows.
