This is a synth of an 808 kick drum, mapped across the entire keyboard. Very simple at it’s core, but very useful for making thick rhythm tracks.

The original code was part of a larger csound 808 kit, original author forgotten. I borrowed the code a long time ago, and originally didn’t intend to release my version, so I just didn’t keep track. Apologies to the original author, feel free to claim your credit :wink:

This version has lots of tweaks for coming up with different kick timbres.

Updates:
v1.2: added stereo channels and L/R spread, one or two other very minor tweaks.

Hey, thanks for the nice instrument ! I exported it as a VST for Linux, it works perfectly in Bitwig 1.3.0.

I just updated the original post here with a new version, adding stereo L/R spread for even more timbre options.

I can’t believe I forgot to add that from the start!

I’m going back and releasing “maintenance updates” for most of my old recipes. These are just minor bug fixes to keep them running with current csound and cabbage versions. Enjoy!
