Mouse position/buttons sensing doesn’t seem to work when hovering over blank canvas (form), it only seems to only work when hovering over a widget such as an image. Here is a video to demonstrate:

Thanks Iain, I think this might be the case since cabbage v2, but shouldn’t be. I’ll fix it later today.
