Hi Rory and everyone! ![]()
I feel like I did 20 years ago when I first tried Lettuce — but today it’s with Cabbage 3.

I’ll be posting a mini guide for newbies in this thread.
Cheers and good luck with the project!

How to have Cabbage 2 & 3 on the same system (Beck reference)
Ha, I’m glad I can help you roll back the years! I’ve just parked Csound 6 on Windows in favor of Csound 7. It’s so much simpler on a Mac at the moment. If I need cabbage 2 I just rename the Csound 7 directory. I have to say your approach looks more robust ![]()
Looking forward to your mini guide for newbies! Cleanly running and using both while migrating over would be very helpful. In my Berklee classes, we are all still using Cabbage 2..8, 2.934, 2.10.7. For most of their and my work, we still lean on version 2, because it is easier to batch convert a complete working set of examples and not deal with code-signing issues.
I’ve a few videos already complete. I’m just waiting for the new website to be ready, then it’s all system go!
Cabbage 3 is such a nice update!! Well done Rory
