Offline rendering and SFDIR

Hi,
I am thinking of switching my main Csound editor from CsoundQT to Cabbage, though I have been using Cabbage only for real time GUI task.
In this transition, I have some questions for which I can’t find the answer in the manual.

a) Is it possible to render to file without realtime output?
b) Does Cabbage search the directories like SFDIR defined in environment variables?

I’m using Cabbage 2.8.0 on MacOS 11.6.1/Mac Book Pro(Intel)

No. This is not currently possible.

No. But I can’t think of any reason why they are needed? You can access the designated system music directory though, or your home folder, or documents, etc.

I prefer the text editor in CsoundQT. The text editor in QT is far superior to the one in JUCE

Thanks for clarification, Rory.

I don’t need SFDIR for my project basically, but it is useful for the files which are commonly used by CSDs (for example, fox.wav from canonical Csound manual).

The text editor in QT is good, but GUI in JUSE is far superior to the one in QT! :+1:
