Plugin hangs on scan

Hi

I got a simple plugin working when exported from Cabbage3, but another plugin that is a bit more complex create a hang on scan in Reaper. It behaves as if there is a window or dialogue open, waiting for user input, but there is none that I can see. If I click terminate, the plugin will not be scanned. Now, when I just tried to let it time out, it would scan and the plugin can be loaded. Just an oddity: the plugin gui window is not the right size, so the bottom widgets are not displayed . There are no scrollbars, so I can not get to that portion of the window.

Can you test the attached plugin?

It is a transient-driven random delay, where delay times are quantized to 8ths notes in a set tempo. New delay times are set on each detected tansient in the input. You can set it to hold mode, where it does not record new segments, but loops with random quantized variation/reshuffling.

Looked a bit more and I can adjust the form size manually to be able to see all widgets. Still the question is why it would hang on scan?

Very nice plugin. I had no problems playing it on my Mac. So the question is why does it hang on Windows. I can’t see how any of the widgets would be causing the problem on startup, but perhaps you could remove the UI for now and see if it loads. BTW, I’m about to push a new build that supports JSONC, meaning we can quickly comment out large sections of the Cabbage JSON section without breaking anything :+1:

I managed to get Cabbage building on an widows-arm vm on my mac, and I get the same hang. Looking into it now.

New build on the way that fixes this :+1: 3.0.11 is the one you’ll want to pick up.
